Nebraska jumped to a 28-0 first half lead then coasted to its l0th-straight win, a victory which assured the Huskers of their 19th consecutive season with at least nine victories.

The second-ranked Cornhuskers rolled up a season-high 666 total-offense yards, the eighth-highest figure in school history. I-back Keith Jones led the way with a then-career-high 240 rushing yards. The Husker defense was also outstanding, yielding just 212 yards.
