Handcrafted
Corn Cob Pens
Now comes in RED

These pens are made from real corn cobs that have been
dried for at least 2 years. I shell the corn and then stabilize the cobs in
a process that impregnates the cob with a plastic resin. The cobs are then turned
on a lathe, finished with several coats of lacquer, and assembled. Corn cobs
are extremely difficult to work with and prone to exploding off the lathe, so
it takes three to four hours to complete each pen. Each pen is made to order.
By their nature, corn cobs have a great variety of texture and color, so some
variation in the look of the pen is normal and to be expected.
Currently, we offer three kinds of pens. A fountain pen, pictured below, a roller
ball pictured above, identical to the fountain pen except for the nib, and a
"cigar pen" which is shown on the display case below, which is a large
ballpoint pen with a fine German -made refill.

All
of our pens are priced at $62.24, the score of the '96 Fiesta Bowl and in honor
of the '95 Nebraska Cornhuskers, the greatest college football team ever. Each
pen ships in a maple case (pictured above and below) and the price includes
shipping. For $110 you can get two of our pens, mix and match as you'd like,
and the pens will be shipped in a double pen case. Special orders of corn cob
pens and or other woods can be done. Please email
us with any questions.
