Wide receiver Nate Swift broke Johnny Rodgers' school career receptions record of 143 during the 2008 Baylor game and ended up just a few yards short of Rodgers' single-season (942) and career (2,479) yardage records.
Quarterback Joe Ganz broke Zac Taylor's single-season total-offense record of 3,156 yards during the Kansas State game and Taylor's single-season passing yardage record of 3,197 yards during the Colorado game. Ganz's completion percentage of 67.86 was also a school single-season record.
Alex Henery's 57-yard field goal against Colorado was the longest in school history.
On the minus side, the 2008 team set school records for penalties (94) and penalty yards (800) in a season, and Missouri became the only NU opponent on record not to punt.
